Décembre 2010. Pour la dernière fois, le cœur battant, j’ouvre la porte de mon four. La chaleur me happe. Black shoe se dévoile; grande, forte, majestueuse, sa langue pendante rougement sensuelle. Elle brille dans la pénombre. Nous faisons corps. Je referme la porte du four, je ferme l’atelier, je tire la langue.
L’adieu à la terre.
1er janvier 2011. L’urgence est là, tapie, ver grouillant, force incontournable. Enfoncer une nouvelle porte. Le premier dessin apparaît, ce sera A3 et quotidien. Il faut s’apprivoiser. La matière est inconnue, rebelle, l’espace impalpable. Jour après jour, les feuilles se marquent au fer rouge, elles sont la propriété de l’instant présent, la réalité du moment. L’intérieur et l’extérieur dialoguent, se font face, s’organisent.
Jour après jour, le plaisir renouvellé, le reste oublié.
30 septembre 2011. 9 mois, 273 dessins. Debout, à cœur ouvert, la maïeutique opère.

" Christine Coste s’exprime par la sculpture et plus précisément, elle entretient un lien charnel avec la terre. Mais, après la perte de son atelier en 2010, naît le projet « Un dessin par jour », qu’elle poursuivra pendant 9 mois, le temps d’une grossesse, d’où le titre des deux séries de dessins présentés ici [majøtik]*, complétées par de grands formats.
Elle y aborde ses thèmes de prédilection, le rôle de la femme et sa puissance, le corps, masculin, féminin, avec toutes ses déclinaisons, ses ambiguïtés, sa violence et sa sensualité, l’emprise de l’un sur l’autre, ce qu’on donne à voir ou pas, ce que l’on cache ou pas. "
