L'assaut - Musée de la Vie Romantique - Paris - 2017

L’assaut si situe en clin d’œil poétique et humoristique à la croisée du romantisme noir*, du roman noir* et du surréalisme*.
En entrant dans le Musée de la Vie romantique, l’atmosphère étouffante dû à la profusion d'objets, de tableaux, de meubles, de couleurs et de matières m’a saisit. Il s'en dégageait à l’inverse un sentiment de vide et de présence immatérielle. J’ai parcouru le musée en empruntant les escaliers en colimaçon. Verdâtres, sombres, ils menaient au dernier étage de la demeure. Fermé au public, une corde rouge en barrait l’accès. C’est à ce moment précis que m’ai venue l’évidence d'une installation céramique dans ce lieu de passage entre le haut et le bas, entre la vie et la mort mais pourtant inaccessible. l'assaut met en scène un revolver noir accouplé d’un doigt et ongle vernis vermillon. Dans la pénombre, Il tire sur une rose blanche*, qui touchée en son cœur dissémine ses pétales sur la moquette rouge de l’escalier.
Qui est l’auteur(e) du crime ? Quel est le mobile du crime ? Y a t’il eu des témoins ?

*La rose, symbole d'amour, est consacrée à Vénus. Plus précisément, le rosier blanc est l’emblème de la Vierge Marie, incarnation de la virginité et de la pureté. Ornée de son piercing, elle s’humanise, s’érotise. Une fleur en céramique modelée avec un matériau pérenne et résistant aux intempéries se dépose sur une les tombes pour se rappeler au souvenir.
*Noctambule et nyctalope, le romantisme noir vit et voit la nuit. Faisant l’éloge de l’ombre, il s’oppose franchement aux Lumières en prônant une inversion systématique des valeurs défendues par ce mouvement. S’inscrivant dans la ligne du romantisme «classique», il en est cependant une fleur «maladive ».
*Le roman noir, considéré comme un sous-genre appartenant au roman policier qui regrouperait le roman d'énigme et le roman à suspense, se définit par un univers violent, un regard tragique sur la société, un fort ancrage référentiel et un engagement politique ou social.
*Le surréalisme matérialisé par l’arme hybride exprime l’irruption de l’inconscient dans la vie réelle, associant fantastique et psychanalyse.

L'assaut (the assault) is so poetic and humorous at the crossroads of black romanticism*, black novel* and surrealism*.
On entering the Museum of Romantic Life, the stifling atmosphere due to the profusion of objects, paintings, furniture, colors and materials seized me. Conversely, there was a feeling of emptiness and immaterial presence. I walked through the museum on the spiral staircase. Greenish, dark, they led to the top floor of the house. Closed to the public, a red rope blocked its access. It was at this precise moment that I had the evidence of a ceramic installation in this place of passage between the top and the bottom, between life and death but yet inaccessible. l'assaut (the assault )involves a black revolver coupled with a finger and nail vermilion varnish. In the darkness, He shoots a white rose*, which touched in his heart spreads its petals on the red carpet of the stairs.
Who is the perpetrator of the crime ? What is the motive for the crime ? Have there been any witnesses ?

* The rose, symbol of love, is dedicated to Venus. More specifically, the white rose is the emblem of the Virgin Mary, the embodiment of virginity and purity. Adorned with her piercing, she becomes human, erotic. The ceramic flower modeled with a durable and weather-resistant material is placed on one of the tombs to remember.
